Loving Local: November Box

Loving Local: November Box

As a proudly Filipino subscription service, we at Raw Bites try our very best to feature as many local brands as possible in our monthly boxes. Back in September, we posted a blog post about the rise of local healthy Filipino brands. This month, we partnered with two up and coming local brands to bring more flavorful and healthy snacks to your door.

First Harvest

First Harvest was founded in 2013 as a social enterprise. They use ingredients with absolutely no extenders, and only use natural preservatives whenever possible. They get these ingredients from their partner local farms like the GK Enchanted Farm in Angat, Bulacan to boost the economy in the provinces and provide employment for the socially disadvantaged. They sell Peanut and Peanut Crunch spreads that have no artificial preservatives and they were kind enough to let us feature their Salted Coco Caramel Spread in our November Box. It is made of muscovado molasses, which is crude sugar cane made healthier. Their take on the Asian coco jam is balanced with salt and mixed with sesame seed. It’s best enjoyed with toasted bread or suman and hot coffee.

Featured in the November Box as well is the brand Cacao Culture Farms who provide quality-grafted cacao seedlings of different varieties. Their three-hectare cacao farm is in Calinan, Davao City and they also have a nursery in Greenland Subdivision, Dumoy, Davao City that is accredited by the Bureau of Plant Industry. Together with Raw Bites, we’ve got some Cacao Nibs for you to enjoy this month of November. It sure is the perfect snack on the go!

So look out for these brands in our November Premium Raw Bites Box! We’re loving local and we’ll make sure to feature more local brands in future collections, so keep an eye out for them!
