Organic Dry Skinny Rice or Konjac is a traditional Japanese food made primarily from konjac flour also known as shirataki. This product also has added ingredients like tapioca starch to make the traditional wet shirataki more palatable and similar to the taste and texture of real rice.
For those looking for a lower-calorie, lower carbohydrate and high fiber rice alternative with the same comfort of real rice and most importantly, regular rice texture, this is the perfect substitute for you!
How To Cook:
Pure Dry Skinny Rice
Cook just like regular rice with 1:1 water ratio. Simmer in a heavy saucepan or a rice cooker of lightly salted water for about 15 minutes or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and leave for another 10 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
With a Mix of Plain Rice
Dry Skinny rice will expand 4-5 times when it's cooked whereas regular rice will expand 2.5 times. If you want to do a mix of both, you can adjust the ratio accordingly. Cook as directed above.
